2499 booked for Drunken Driving on New Year's eve

Hyderabad : A total of 2,499 cases of drunken driving were registered in the Greater Hyderabad limits on the New Year's eve.

The Cyberabad, Rachakonda and Hyderabad Police Commissionerates undertook a special drive from 9 PM on Sunday till early hours of Monday to prevent drunken driving. As a result, a total of 1683 cases were booked in Hyderabad limits, 582 in Cyberabad and 234 in Rachakonda police limits.
