Hyderabad cop’s photograph with four-month-old boy hailed as the defining image of police in 2017

A picture of a Hyderabad police Inspector carrying a four-month-old baby smiling at him is being hailed as the most defining image of the police for the year 2017.

The IPS Association shared three different photographs on its official Twitter account on Sunday stating the first one which is the picture of the baby smiling at the police officer clearly to be the favorite.

The picture has an infant, Faizan Khan who was kidnapped but traced by the Nampally police within 15 hours of the incident and handed over to the family.

The two accused involved were arrested.

The picture was taken after the baby was rescued and the Inspector Sanjay Kumar took the baby in his arms as he was crying. However, once in the police officer’s arms, the boy started smiling, the moment was captured and posted on social media.

The incident took place on October 7, 2017.

Hyderabad City Additional Joint Commissioner of Police (crimes) Swati Lakra also shared the picture on Twitter with the caption, 

"Inspector Sanjay Kumar rescued this child who was kidnapped. The smile of the child says it all. Love this pic!"

The other two pictures that were put up involved a Kurnool doing 'namaskar' to a man who is driving five people on his two-wheeler pleading with him not to indulge in such dangerous driving.

Another one is of children merrily crossing the road while a female traffic constable is seen stopping the traffic for them.
