Hyderabad: Government Chief Whip P Rajeshwar Reddy on Tuesday said the 24-hour power supply was possible in the State because of the efforts and efficiency of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. Addressing a press conference here, P Rajeshwar Reddy said Telangana was the first State in the country to provide 24-hour free power supply to agriculture sector.

He said other States are providing 24-hour power supply, but it is not free, and some States were providing free power, but it was not 24-hour supply. He alleged that both the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Congress only made promises but did nothing. “The TDP government had ordered fire on the agitating farmers. The Congress was in power for ten years, but ignored the sector completely,” Rajeshwar Reddy said.
