Govt keen to establish IT cluster at Budvel: KTR

Hyderabad: Information Technology and Industries and Commerce Minister K T Rama Rao said the government intensified the efforts to establish another IT cluster at Budvel. He visited Budvel and Rajendranagar areas for land inspection for the setup of IT cluster on Wednesday.

“The government had taken establishment of the Budvel IT cluster seriously and soon Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao will lay the foundation stone. We were already in discussions with 30 organisations and they are ready to start companies in the cluster. They are well established and reputed companies of national and international recognition,” he said.

Rama Rao said as soon as possible a Memorandum of Understanding will be prepared. In view to expand IT industries to all parts of the State, the government put a long-term goal and with the new cluster, the IT industry will expand more, he added.

He directed the Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) officials to create all infrastructure facilities at the new cluster.

“After the completion of the cluster, around 1.25 lakh employment will be generated. In the next five years these companies will start their works with full swing,” he said. The principal secretary of IT and Industries will hold a meeting with IT and Revenue department, Ranga Reddy Collector and TSIIC to speed up the work.
