Village official struck down by tractor in Kamareddy

A Village Revenue Assistant (VRA) was struck down by a tractor late on Wednesday night killing him on the spot.

The deceased, Boyini Sailoo was working as a VRA at Kambapoor village of Pitlam mandal of Kamareddy district.

A resident of Karegaon, Boyini Sailoo had received a call from villagers regarding illegal sand mining taking place in the Kakivagu stream. 

After informing his higher officials, he went to the spot and asked those taking sand from the stream to leave but an argument ensued. 

According to the reports, one of the tractors, while leaving the area hit Sailoo, who died on the spot.

Villagers who reached the spot alerted the police who have launched an investigation and arrested the tractor owner.
