15 injured in bus mishap

Suryapet: As many as 15 passengers were injured when the bus they were travelling was overturned near Tellabanda Colony of Durajpally village of Chevvemla mandal in Suryapet district on Saturday night.

According to the police, Vijayawada depot bus bound to Hyderabad was started from Vijayawada bus station at 11.30 pm on Saturday. The bus driver was reportedly in a drowsy state when he lost control of the vehicle. Challa Chiranjeevi, Sambashiva Rao, Bhanu Murthy of Krishna district and Srinivas of Hyderabad and other 11 passengers were injured. 

They were shifted to Suryapet area hospital for treatment. At the time of accident, there were 32 passengers in the bus. Chivvemla police registered a case and took up investigation. Meanwhile, three daily labourers suffered injuries when the auto they were travelling was overturned at Chintriyala village of Chintalapalem mandal in the district. They were shifted to hospital for treatment.
