Medaram Jatara set to be held at the end of Jan

The famous tribal fair, Sammakka Saralamma or the Medaram Jatara is set to be held from January 31 to February 3.

Known to be one of the biggest tribal fairs in the country, the Medaram Jatara is organized once in every two years with devotees thronging the fair from places across the country.

To be held at Medaram village in Tadvai Mandal under Bhupalpally district, the Jatara preparations are in progress with the District Collector A Murali reviewing the development works in connection to the Jatara.

1,500 acres of parking space has been allocated by the state government for the vehicles while temporary toilets are being set up for the devotees in surrounding villages.
