Lorry driver killed in Gadwal truck collision

A lorry driver died in a road mishap in Gadwal district on Wednesday morning. 

The mishap occurred near Manavapadu village when the truck, traveling from Kurnool to Hyderabad rammed another truck from behind.

The driver succumbed to death on the spot and his fellow cleaner was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

Cranes had to be deployed to separate the two trucks and to extricate the driver’s body. The accident caused a major traffic jam on the highway halting the traffic for nearly three hours.
