Pipeline works stalled for a year

Buses stopped entering into our colony since a year. It is very difficult for me to go till the main road to catch a bus to go to college in the early hours - D Sheba

Kukatpally: The dug-up road for Manjeera pipelines at Allwyn Colony has been troubling the commuters for a year. The road which was dug up for drainage pipelines and water connections is causing inconvenience for the vehicles to enter the colony; making it a herculean task for the commuters who commonly pass through this area. People cannot even walk on these roads as the pipes are left unattended on the road.

The pipes that are used for both water and drainage connections are lying on the roads in front of the shops causing huge trouble for the shopkeepers and the residents. Adding to the report, the shopkeepers face loss in their business since these pipes are piled up in-front of their stores for which the customers are unable to walk into the stores.

A local shopkeeper K Ramu, said, “From past six months, my business has come down owing to the dug-up roads in front of my shop. I am unable to pay the rent and the goods which I bought on finance have made me fall into debts. It’s been a year since they have dug up roads and left it like that in front of the shop.” 

D Sheba a resident said, “Buses stopped entering into our colony since a year. It is very difficult for me to go till the main road to catch a bus to go to college in the early hours. “P Rajeev, a motorist said, “I am parking my bike far away from my house because I do not want to take the task of taking my bike out of the lane every morning.”
