Telangana Sankranti Sandadi on Jan 11, 12

Khammam: Telugu Book of Records award winner and founder president of Telangana Kala Parishad Pagidipalli Raja Rao stated that to mark the upcoming Sankranti festival, Telangana Sankranti Sandadi programme would be organised on January 11 and 12 at Bhaktha Ramadasu Kalakshetram here in Khammam.  

He said the programme was aimed at giving wide publicity to Right to Education Act besides popularising various art forms of Telangana. As part of the programme, a Kavi Sammelanam and also a programme on Right to Education Act would be organised at Nama Muttaiah Function Hall on January 11, and cultural programmes would be held on January 12 at Bhaktha Ramadasu Kalakshetram. 

Further, short films selected at state-level would be screened during the Short Film Festival, he said, adding that a steering committee was formed to make the programme a grand success. “The artists from various fields will be felicitated on the occasion,” he informed, urging the people to take part in the celebrations.
