TRS wins Warangal 44th Division By Poll

The by-election results of 44th ward of Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) are out and TRS has emerged victorious.

Anisetti Saritha of TRS has won the elections against BJP leader Kolanu Santhosh Reddy with a majority of 835 votes. 

The candidates, who filed nominations for the by-election include Anishetty Saritha (TRS), Kolanu Santhosh Reddy (BJP) and K Ratna (BJP dummy nominee), independent candidates Banka Rakesh, S Rajanikanth, and Srinivas.

The counting of votes began on Thursday morning at 8 am in the local Indoor Stadium and has completed in just half-an-hour time. 

The by-polls were held on Tuesday following a massive campaign between the TRS & BJP as Congress, TDP & left parties candidates were left behind with fewer votes. 

Speaking after the victory, a TRS leader said the by-poll win was possible only due to the TRS government’s developments in the state.
