Platform tickets hiked in Hyderabad

In order to reduce the congestion during the Sankranthi festive season, the railway authorities in Hyderabad have doubled the platform ticket at some major railway stations for a week.

The South Central Railway announced the price hike of platform tickets at Secunderabad railway station between January 11 to 17 from Ra 10 to Ra 20. 

This decision has been taken in a bid to regulate the entry of non-traveling public into major railway stations and avoid unnecessary congestion inside the station along with the traffic outside the station.
