Agriculture in Telangana will become a role model for the nation: KCR
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao addressing the India Today Conclave South 2018 on Thursday admitted that the farmers’ suicide was a painful chapter In Telangana but added that it was not a dent in the image of the state.
He went on to announce a series of steps, the Telangana government has taken up to showcase agriculture in the state becoming a role model for the country.
Mentioning that Telangana will have assured irrigation for one crore acres of agricultural land by 2020, KCR said that the industrial policy of the state government (TS-IPASS) is also gaining progress with nearly 5,000 industries sanctioned under it, of which 2,000 units will come into production.
Regarding the new Secretariat building, the Chief Minister said the state needed good buildings for the seat of power in tune with its richness adding that Telangana would become the richest in the country.
He pointed out that the buildings in the existing 25-acre premises were constructed in a zigzag manner.
