102 ambulance services launched in Mahabubnagar

The new 102 ambulances were launched in Mahabubnagar district on Monday. The ambulance services were given to every constituency in the district with two ambulances to each assembly constituency totalling to 10.

The services began shortly after their inauguration.

The vehicles can be used by women to go to hospitals right from the third month of pregnancy to have a check-up.

The ambulances would pick them up and drop them back home after check-up every month apart from being available at the time of delivery and also after delivery.

The free ambulance services would also cater to any medical need of the baby.

District Medical and Health Officer Rajini shared that two ambulances for each constituency would work well for such necessary needs of pregnant, lactating mothers and babies.
