‘Complete Sundilla, Annaram ayacuts by July’

Hyderabad: The two-day Kaleshwaram visit of Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao ended on Sunday where he inspected the execution of various works of Kaleshwaram and asked the officials to speed up the works and ensure the Sundilla and Annaram ayacut were completed by June-July this year.

The Minister inspected the works pertaining to Package 6, 7 and 8 in Nandi Medaram of Dhamaram mandal of Peddapalli district. He reviewed the works on Package 8 in Ramdugu mandal in Karimnagar district. He directed the officials to speed up the works on Package 7 where damage of lining was reported. He asked the officials to complete all the works by June this year. 

On Sunday morning, the Minister inspected the works on Sundilla, Annaram and Medigadda barrages. He was accompanied by Special Chief Secretary (Irrigation) S K Joshi, Engineer-in-Chief Muralidhar Rao and Chief Engineer Venkateshwarlu. The Minister said the government would complete the Medigadda barrage by the end of 2018. He said that modern technology was being used in the construction and every day 2.5 lakh tonnes of cement was being used.
