GHMC takes on illegal hoardings in Hyderabad

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) launched the demolition of unauthorized hoardings across its limits on Monday.

Starting with the demolition of such structures in Masjidbanda near Chirec School in the West Zone and other areas, the GHMC has identified 333 unauthorized hoardings across Hyderabad. 

In order to take up the demolition, a private agency has been roped in as the GHMC lacks necessary equipment and manpower for the works.

The demolition operations on the site are being inspected by Deputy Commissioner S. Mamatha and other officials.
