Early completion of pipeline work sought

Serilingampally: Senior BJP leader of Serilingampally constituency Jnanendra Prasad on Tuesday expressed dissatisfaction over the pace of work of overflow drainage pipeline work from Janapriya Apartment to Hafizpet stream, after an inspection. He alleged that Rs eight crore being spent for the work appeared to be a ‘waste of public money’.

Prasad said residents were facing inconvenience on account of abrupt stoppage of the work, as large pits have been left unfilled in front of apartments. Those staying there, particularly children, were falling in pits and getting injured. Besides, they were experiencing difficulties in coming out while driving vehicles, facing a threat to their safety.

The BJP leader demanded either early completion of work or filling of pits in front of apartments, so as to avoid hardship to residents. Among the party activists who accompanied him during the inspection were Koteswar Rao, Ravi Goud, Narsimha Rao, Pavan, Vivek, Maqsood, Mahesh, Raju, Sridhar.
