Workshop on School Radio kicks off

Himayatnagar: Balachelimi in association with School Radio is organising a three-day workshop on “School Radio Club” for students of twin cities at Oxford Grammar School, Himayatnagar from Tuesday. The three-day workshop will mainly focus on improvising communication skills, enhancing public speaking, storytelling and creative writing.

The students would also be trained in recording, mixing, content editing and Mp3 editing.  Some of the students from various schools were also a part of the workshop. The program was inaugurated by UNESCO, Chair on Community Media, University of Hyderabad Prof. Vinod Pavarala on Tuesday.

According to him School Radio is a tool to involve students. He said that today’s generation is born with a silver spoon with the latest technology and radio is a medium to express oneself. He also said that School Radio is not Rocket science and every child can be a part of the school radio.

The School Radio Club workshop is conducted by the Founder School Radio Aruna Gali , Director (Training) School Radio G Uday Kumar, Program executive, School Radio  B Venkata Ramana Rao,.
