Australia's VIT to impart free education to Telangana's minorities

Hyderabad : The Victorian Institute of Technology (VIT), Melbourne has given its consent to provide free education to minorities of Telangana State. 

The CEO, Arjun Surapaneni and Nishidhar Reddy of V.I.T. today met Minister for Home and Labour Nayini Narasimha Reddy in his chambers at Secretariat to discuss on the issue. It may be recalled that the Minister during his recent tour to Australia visited V.I.T. and asked them to take a call on providing free education to the students of Telangana State. Responding to the Home and Labour Minister’s call, they said, VIT has decided to provide free education to students in Graduation and PG which otherwise costs Rs. 25 lakhs per person. 

VIT has its branches at Melbourne and Sydney and they are starting a branch in Dubai. 

During the meeting, the Minister for Home and Labour asked the representatives of Anjuman-Minority Society to suggest the names of eligible and interested minority students.
