Giggling Amrapali invites govt wrath!

Hyderabad: The State government is likely to take disciplinary action against Warangal (Urban) District Collector Amrapali on her ‘childish’ behavior while delivering speech during the Republic Day celebrations on January 26 in the district headquarters. The video of Amrapali’s speech also went viral on social media.    

Taking serious note of the criticism from different quarters on the IAS official bursting out laughing and pronouncingTelugu words wrong in her speech, Chief Secretary SP Singh called the Collector on phone and sought explanation. 

She told the Chief Secretary that she faced trouble in pronouncing some Telugu words accurately. Officials said that the government would initiate disciplinary action after seeking a written explanation from the lady collector.
