Meet on national movement held

Hyderabad: The first all-party National Convention of Indian National Movement was held on Tuesday at Abids. During the convention, the delegates demanded that the government of India free the country from corporate culture as it was “making the poor poorer and the rich richer”.

Addressing the convention, CPI general secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said, “India is going through an unprecedented situation, the likes of which were not seen even during emergency. The government is imposing pressure on the judiciary. The judiciary, 
legislature and bureaucracy must work independently and not under the government’s influence to protect the secular nature of the country.”

Sudhakar Reddy said 73 per cent of the country’s wealth rested with the affluent 1 percent, while the remaining 27 per cent is distributed among the 99 per cent.Vice president of Awami Muzaffar Shah said the real issues of Kashmir must be solved and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti be blamed for the crises and demanded that she should resign. He said that Kashmiris cannot be treated with partiality, and must be seen as part of India.
