VH asks Kavitha to focus on TRS future

Update: 2018-02-03 09:34 IST

Hyderabad: Congress senior leader V Hanumantha Rao on Friday advised Nizamabad MP K Kavitha to concentrate on the Telangana Rashtra Samithi’s (TRS) future instead of thinking about the Congress. Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan, Hanumantha Rao said Kavitha should be worried about the future of her family after the next elections.

He said Kavitha should think what would have been the status of K Chandrashekar Rao’s family if the Congress would not have given Telangana State. He said those talking about the future of the Congress should think about the fate of TRS which failed to fulfill the promises that it made with the people in last elections. He said the results of by-elections in Rajasthan clearly indicated that people were looking for a change.

Hanumantha Rao said the people of Telangana would also go for a change and replace the TRS with the Congress in next elections. Commenting on BJP president Amit Shah's statement, he said when some Union Ministers were praising Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao and his Minister son KT Rama Rao, how could the BJP think of contesting alone and winning the elections.
