CM asks MPs to fight for more funds in LS, RS
Hyderabad: The Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Saturday instructed TRS MPs to fight for more funds to the State and raise farmers issues in the ongoing Budget session of the Parliament.
The Chief Minister held a meeting with his party MPs at his camp office Pragathi Bhavan and discussed in detail the Union Budget 2018-19 proposals mainly the new schemes announced by the Centre to strengthen the agriculture sector. He asked the MPs to fight for more funds for Telangana under various schemes.
The MPs were instructed to raise farmers plights, fixation of MSP (Minimum Support Price) to the farmers produce, funds for Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, national status and special funds to Kalesharam project, interlinking NREGP to farming sector and additional funds for the Warangal Textile park.
The Chief Minister also wanted the MPs to raise the issue of enhancement of reservation to Muslims and Tribals in proportionate to their population in the education and employment. He said Rythu Samanvaya Samithies will take all measures to protect the farmers from the exploitation of the middlemen and ensure Minimum Support Price to the farmers produce.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister explained the officials and his cabinet colleagues the importance establishment of food processing units in every assembly constituency and the requirement of centre’s help to promote the specific industry.
