Cops crack Anusha’s murder mystery
Hyderabad: In a swift move, the Hayathnagar police on Saturday arrested the accused who had brutally murdered his fiancé by bludgeoning her on January 29. According to the police, Angoth Mothilal, 25, resident of Shamshabad and native of Kurnool district, bludgeoned N Anusha, 24, to death on January 29 at her sister’s residence at Hayathnagar.
Anusha was also aspiring to become a cop. She was Mothilal’s distant relative and were allegedly in an affair for the past five years. About nine months ago, they were engaged. However, recently something went wrong and the accused began to suspect her fidelity.
Mothilal decided to keep a vigil on her and in October last year, he snatched away her mobile phone and discussed the matter with her parents.
However, during the course of time, Anusha got pregnant and it fuelled further doubts in Mothilal’s mind. The accused grew more suspicious and decided to eliminate her. Anusha came to Hyderabad on January 26 with the intention of joining coaching classes for appearing SI exams. However, he quarrelled with the deceased over her pregnancy.
Later, at night after she slept, he killed her by throwing a boulder over her head on January 29. “On January 30, in the morning hours, we found the body of Anusha in a pool of blood Mithani Colony of Hayathnagar with severe bleeding injuries on her head. Basing on the complaint of one Srikanth, a murder case was registered against the suspect and we arrested him,” said the police officials.
However, the parents of the deceased alleged the role of other three individuals in the case and demanded repost-mortem of the body. The woman’s relatives including her mother alleged that other persons from his hometown who had actually assured her protection before coming to Hyderabad were directly involved in the brutal murder. Blaming the entire family of Mothilal, they alleged that kin of the accused were not in favour of their marriage, ever since they were engaged.
