Unique school for dyslexic children coming up in Hyderabad
St. Andrews School in Hyderabad is all set to open a full-fledged school for children with dyslexia on its Bowenpally campus from June.
According to the school management, the various campuses of the school have made resource rooms available for the last 15 years to help children with special needs.
The management has decided to take it to the next level since the number of children with dyslexia was going up.
The classrooms designed exclusively for dyslexic children in the proposed school is nearing completion and would conduct classes, from Class I to Class V with 15 to 20 students in each class and special educators handling classes.
While the syllabus for the classes would be the same, the teaching technique and approach in the school would be different.
A similar school is to be opened in Bengaluru from 2019-2020. It would have an occupational therapy centre, multiple intelligence centres, and focus on remediation.
