KTR reviews arrangements for World Congress on IT
Hyderabad: Information Technology Minister K. Tarakarama Rao reviewed the arrangements being undertaken for the upcoming World Congress on IT, along with the NASSCOM leadership team at Camp Office today.
NASSCOM President R Chandrasekhar, Cyient Limited Founder & Executive Chairman BVR Mohan Reddy and Tech Mahindra Managing Director and CEO CP Gurnani met Minister KTR today, as part of the NASSCOM delegation.
The Minister said that it was a matter of pride for Hyderabad city and Telangana state to host this prestigious IT conference. He said that all the agencies of State Government were already geared up to ensure smooth conduct of WCIT.
The NASSCOM leadership gave an overview of the Conference and explained the preparatory work underway for WCIT.
Prime Minister Narender Modi has been invited as the Chief Guest for this program. A confirmation from PMO is being awaited. A host of dignitaries, including Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe, Union IT Minister Ravishankar Prasad, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and ministers from Canada, China, Armenia, Nigeria, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan would be participating in WCIT.
A host of top level executives from IT industry across the globe would also attend WCIT.
KTR said that the state government was making arrangements to ensure the visiting dignitaries are accorded a warm welcome and are taken care of during their stay in Hyderabad.
