No more reduction in Metro Rail Fares In Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Telangana Municipal Administration and Urban Development minister KT Rama Rao said the metro rail operations will be speed up with the increase in frequency of trains from April. However fares will not come down. The minister ruled out any reduction in fares as they were on par with the tariffs of RTC AC buses in the city.
Preparations are under progress to lay foundation stone for another extra kilometer of Metro rail on the Nagole-Raidurg. Initially, the route was conceived only from Nagole to Hi-Tech City but later the plan was modified to extend it by another kilometer to Raidurg.
The minister said the second phase metro rail project was still at proposal stage. Once, the whole first phase rail project comes under operational, government will invite agencies to take up second phase works.
