Pawan Kalyan to form JAC on APRA assurances
Hyderabad : Jana Sena Party president Pawan Kalyan on Thursday announced the formation of a Joint Action Committee (JAC) comprising leaders from both Andhra Pradesh and Telangana States to pressurise the Centre for fulfilling the assurances given in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
Pawan Kalyan called on Lok Satta founder Jay Prakash Narayan at latter's office on Thursday. Speaking to media persons later, Pawan Kalyan said that there was a need to pressurise the Centre on fulfilling all the assurances given to both the Telugu States in the APRA. He said that JAC would comprise of representatives of NGOs and intellectuals from both the States.
He said while Andhra Pradesh was promised financial support and railway zone, Telangana was assured help in industrialisation, AIIMS and other sops. However, the promises remained unfulfilled despite presentation of four Union Budgets.
Jay Prakash Narayana has announced his total support to the proposed JAC.
