TRS MP Kavitha extends support to Andhra leaders over injustice meted out in Union Budget
TRS MP Kavitha Kalvakuntla addressed the Lok Sabha on Thursday requested the Central government to fulfil the promises made during the AP Reorganisation Act.
Extending her support to MPs from Andhra who have been staging protests over the injustice meted out to their state in the Union Budget 2018-19, she highlighted several issues faced by farmers, including the delay in receiving fertiliser subsidies.
Following the Union Budget, the leaders from both Telugu states have lashed out at the Centre over the poor allocation of funds.
The Nizamabad MP demanded funds be allocated to the Kaleshwaram Project in Telangana apart from increasing the amount of timely subsidy for micro-irrigation to farmers. She even suggested the union government include 24 crops must be purchased under the Minimum Support Price (MSP) scheme.
