Man forges signature of top Telangana officials, held
A 27-year-old man was arrested by the Hyderabad police on Friday in the city on charges of forging the signature of Telangana's Principal Finance Secretary, K Ramakrishna Rao along with other senior IAS officers.
The accused, identified as Rama Krishna Chandrasekhar hails from East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh.
According to the details, the accused had authorised the release of mobilisation advance of Rs 7.72 crore to the management of Pulse Pharmaceutical Private Limited through Andhra Bank apart from forging the signature.
A fake invitation letter was also seized from the possession of the accused who seemingly prepared a fake letterhead that invited him to participate at an event at Pragathi Bhavan, the Chief Minister's camp office and residence.
He reportedly took photos with several politicians in public places before uploading them on social media.
Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VV Srinivasa Rao was quoted saying, “He showed the pictures and claimed to be close to Ministers. He demanded huge money for getting government tenders, transfers and postings of government employees sanctioned and for other works relating to the Secretariat.”
