Congress sees larger conspiracy behind KTR's "loafer" comments
Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Spokesperson Dr. Sravan Dasoju alleged that there was a larger conspiracy behind IT Minister K. Tarakarama Rao's recent derogatory comments against the Congress party.
Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, Sravan informed that he had written an open letter to KTR with proof of how he was cheating the people of Telangana. He alleged that KTR made comments calling Congress a 'loafer party' only to divert people's attention from the injustice done to Telangana State in Union budget.
He said the comments were not spontaneous, but a part of well hatched conspiracy of TRS-BJP "secret combine". He pointed out that on the same day, Prime Minister Narender Modi had condemned the very formation of Telangana State and ridiculed statehood movement. Despite being in Lok Sabha, the TRS MPs did not protest and Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao too remained silent on PM's remarks. He said KCR was afraid of PM Modi as he might unleash CBI against him in Sahara Group and other cases.
Sravan said despite being an ally of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and part of Central Government, TDP members stalled the proceedings of Parliament alleging injustice to Andhra Pradesh. However, TRS MPs did not speak a word against Modi Government over injustice done to Telangana in Union Budget. He said the silence of TRS MPs clearly show that the party was having a secret alliance with the BJP Government.
He said that although Kavitha raised the issue of Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, she failed to highlight the injustices being done with Telangana by the Centre since the last four years. He said that TRS Government itself has admitted that it has sent proposals worth Rs. 40,000 crore to the Centre.
However, the BJP Government sanctioned a paltry sum of only Rs. 1,000 crore to the State. He said that 17 MPs of TRS did not speak in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on illegal merger of seven mandals of Telangana into AP for Polavaram project, railway coach factory, steel plant in Bayyaram, AIIMS or other unfulfilled promises.
In this backdrop, he said, KTR's comments calling Congress a 'loafer' party were aimed at pleasing PM Modi and also to cover up his anti-Telangana statement.
He said KTR also shared the news clippings on his comments on his Twitter account and next day he also travelled to Delhi apparently to convey the BJP leadership that he was working in sync with PM Modi.
Calling KTR a master conspirator, he said when someone Google searches the word "kutra" then KTR's image appears on top. He said KTR had no stature to criticise Congress president Rahul Gandhi. He said KCR family has been enjoying power due to Telangana granted by Sonia Gandhi.
Sravan challenged KTR to come for an open debate at Telangana Matryrs' Memorial at Gun Park on TRS party's silence against the BJP Government at the Centre on injustices done to Telangana State.
