Congress sees larger conspiracy behind KTR’s comments

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) Chief Spokesperson Sravan Dasoju alleged there was a larger conspiracy behind Information Technology Minister KT Rama Rao's recent derogatory comments against the Congress party.

Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Sunday, Sravan informed that he had written an open letter to KT Rama Rao with proof of how he was cheating the people of Telangana. He alleged that K T Rama Rao made comments calling Congress a 'loafer party' only to divert people's attention from the injustice done to Telangana State in Union Budget.

He said the comments were not spontaneous, but a part of well hatched conspiracy of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He pointed out, on the same day Prime Minister Narender Modi had condemned the very formation of Telangana State and ridiculed statehood movement.

Despite being in Lok Sabha, the TRS MPs did not protest and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao too remained silent on Prime Minister's remarks. He said KCR was afraid of Modi as he might unleash Central Bureau of Investigation against him in Sahara Group and other cases.  Sravan said despite being an ally of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) and part of Central Government, Telugu Desam Party members stalled the proceedings of Parliament alleging injustice to Andhra Pradesh.

However, TRS MPs did not speak a work against Modi’s government over injustice done to Telangana in Union Budget. He said the silence of TRS MPs clearly show that the party was having a secret alliance with the BJP government. He said although MP Kavitha raised the issue of Special Status for Andhra Pradesh, she failed to highlight the injustices being done with Telangana by the Centre from past four years.

He said that TRS government itself admitted that it sent proposals worth Rs 40,000 crore to the Centre. However, the BJP government sanctioned a paltry sum of only Rs 1,000 crore to the State.

Calling KT Rama Rao, a master conspirator, he said when someone searches the word ‘kutra’ in Google then KTR's image appears on top. KTR's comments calling Congress a 'loafer' party were aimed at pleasing Modi and to cover up his anti-Telangana statement.
