Union Minister Hansraj Ahir to visit city Gaushala

Hyderabad : Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Hansraj Gangaram Ahir will visit Satyam Shivam Sundaram Gau Nivasm, the South India’s biggest and India’s best maintained Gaushala located in the outskirts of Hyderabad at Gaganpahad on 15th February. 

According to Dharam Raj Ranka, who runs two Goshalas, sheltering 5300 cows for the past 25 years, the minister is expected to offer “Thulbaharam”, a ritual in which the devotee submits offerings worth his weight to the deity/gaumatha 

As hundreds of other devotees are also expected the organizers are planning to make elaborate arrangements so that Thulabharam can be offered with flowers, bananas, vegetables, jaggery, coins etc.  Various items useful for upkeeping of Goshala such as turmeric, coins, sugar, rice, jaggery, sugar candy, etc to the equivalent weight of the devotee can be donated.
