Union Minister of State for Rural Development Ram Kripal Yadav asserts that the reach of Central schemes benefits all the needy in every remote village

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Rural Development Ram Kripal Yadav on Monday asked the Telangana State government to prepare an action plan for the strict enforcement of all Central-sponsored rural development schemes in the State.

At a meeting with State Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister J Krishna Rao and the department officials, the Union Minister asserted that the reach of the scheme benefits all the needy in every remote village. 

He reviewed the performance of the State in the implementation of employment guarantee scheme, Pradhan Manthri Grameen Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and pension schemes with State officials. Yadav expressed satisfaction on State government’s performance in the implementation of the schemes. He lauded the State for making the mass plantation programme ‘Haritha Haram’ a big hit by protecting 70 per cent of the planted saplings.

Krishna Rao requested that the Union Minister increase the number of working days under the employment guarantee scheme to 16 crore from the present eight crore and also release the pending Rs 750 crore under material component immediately. 

The demand to the release of funds for the long pending road development works under (PMGSY) and the establishment of more number of skill development institutions under Deen Dayal Upadya Grameen Kousalya Yojana were also put before the Union Minister.
