Last Nizam's last son passes away
Hyderabad: The last son of erstwhile Hyderabad’s last ruler Mir Osman Ali Khan, the VIIth Nizam, Nawab Fazal Jah Bahadur, passed away in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. He is unwell for some time and was admitted to a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 72.
According to 7th Nizam’s grandson Nawab Najaf Ali Khan, who is also the president of the Nizam family welfare association, Fazal Jah is the last surviving son of Nizam Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam, who abdicated his throne in the wake of the 1948 police action on Hyderabad. After his abdication, Khan was Hyderabad state’s Raj Pramukh till 1954.
Fazal Jah is known to be involved in a slew of charity activities. He took care of the maintenance of Masjid-e-Judi at the King Kothi area.
Nawab Fazal Jah was buried in the royal graveyard.
