CM announces formation of Rythu Samanvaya Samithi

Hyderabad : Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao has decided to form a new Corporation under the name Telangana Rashtra Rythu Samanvaya Samithi (Telangana State Farmers Coordination Committee). 

He announced that the proposed Corporation would help to take the measures taken by the government for agriculture development and farmers welfare to the grass roots and at the field level. He made it clear the proposed Corporation will be a non-profit organisation and the funds allocated for it will be used for achieving the aims and objectives of the Corporation. He said shortly, like the Village and mandal Farmers Coordination Committees, district and state level committees will be formed.

The Chief Minister held a review meeting at Pragati Bhavan here on Thursday on the formation of farmers' coordination committees, their duties and responsibilities as well as on the regional conferences to be held on February 25 and 26. Deputy CM Kadiam Srihari, Ministers Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Etela Rajender, Indrakaran Reddy, Chief Advisor Rajiv Sharma, Whip Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, Mission Bhagiratha Vice Chairman Vemula Prashanth Reddy, MPs B Vinod Kumar, Gutha Sukhender Reddy, Balka Suman, Advocate General Prakash Reddy, Principal Secretary S. Narsing Rao, Agriculture Commissioner Jagan Mohan Rao and others participated. 

KCR made it clear that the Coordination Committees will have their duties and responsibilities to play an active role in the agriculture operations from sowing the seed to selling the produce at MSP. He said at least 51% of these Committees would be filled up by farmers from the weaker sections and women. For the regional conferences on February 25 and 26, besides the members of the Mandal Coordination Committees, Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Corporation Chairpersons, and ZP Chairpersons, elected representatives should participate. 

He said all over the state 2630 Farmers daises will be constructed one per every 5,000 acres for the farmers to organise their meetings, discussions, and exchange of views with one another. The CM has instructed the officials to complete the construction of these daises soon. He wanted the Farmers Coordination Committees to take the responsibility. The CM also instructed the Collectors concerned to identify lands for the purpose. He wanted them to procure lands either from the government, donors or by purchasing the lands.
