Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Thursday said that the proposed 'Praja Chaitanya bus yatra' by the party will expose the failures of Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government in the State.

Addressing a day-long convention of Telangana Pradesh Congress Seva Dal at Indira Bhavan, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the bus yatra was aimed at highlighting the failures of the TRS government and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

He said despite completing nearly four years in power, TRS government did not fulfil the promises made to the various sections of the society. The Congress wants to caution people against Chief Minister’s mind games, to stay in power, with the yatra. He asked all the Congress workers to strengthen Seva Dal and assured that due prominence would be given to the entity by the party in allocation of tickets.

He requested the members of Seva Dal to actively participate in the bus yatra programme. The TPCC chief said that even as the next budget session is likely to start on March 12, the TRS government is still not clear on the fulfilment of its major electoral promises like three acres of land for each Dalit family, 12 per cent reservation for Muslims and 10 per cent for STs and double bed room houses for the poor.
