Employees JAC asks TS Govt to resolve pending issues

Hyderabad : The representatives of Joint Action Committee of Telangana Employees, Gazetted Officers, Teachers, Workers and Pensioners met Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi on Friday and demanded that the State Government resolve their pending issues. 

In their representation, the JAC members demanding lifting of ban on transfers. They pointed out that there is a ban on transfer since formation Telangana State. Employees are working in a place for more than eight years which is causing unnecessary problem. This year ban on transfer may be lifted and general transfer may be made in the month of April/May, 2018, they demanded. 

They said that the Kamalnathan Committee erred in bifurcation of employees and there were several cases where employees of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana were not allocated to their natives States. "We have requested the government, to bring back Telangana Employees working in AP, as promised by Chief Minister K. Chandrashehar Rao," they said. 

The JAC also demanded that the government relax the minimum service of three years for next promotion, as so many vacancies are available in the higher, cadre, the same could not be filled-up for want of eligible candidates. The minimum service of 3 years may be relaxed to 2 years for the panel year 2018-19 so that the individual can get promotions to the higher cadres. 

They also listed out various other issues which are pending with the government. They include sanction of gratuity and family pension to the CPS employees and payment of salaries to the Zilla Grandhlaya Samastha employees under 101-head through the Treasury. "The government has promised to cancel 'order to serve' in the new districts within six months from the date of formation of new district. But so far nothing is done even after one-and-a-half year. This may be solved expeditiously. The next Pay Revision is due from 01.07.2018. This is first PRC after formation of Telangana State. It may be implemented on the due date. The Pay Revision Commission may be appointed immediately, so that the PRC can be implemented from the due date," they said. 

The JAC members also demanded that the Dearness Allowance dues, which are pending since July 1, 2017, be released immediately. They said that the State Government has announced 60 years as Superannuation for certain categories. "We request the government to extend the Superannuation Age to 60 years to all categories of employees," they said. 

They also made a separate letter on Contributory Pension Scheme and informed the Chief Secretary that the JAC has decided to convene 'Sakala Udyogula Maha Sabha' on March 25 seeking withdrawal of PFRDA and Contributory Pension Scheme and implementation of Old Pension Scheme. They also demanded that the Telangana Legislative Assembly pass a resolution to withdraw all the State Government employees from CPS and implement the old pension scheme. 

JAC Chairman K. Ravinder Reddy, Secretary General V. Mamatha, TRS MLA V. Srinivas Goud and other JAC leaders were part of the delegation.
