Job Mela organised at PJTSAU
Hyderabad: The Directorate of Handlooms, a Central government’s public sector undertaking (PSU) recruited students from BSc Textiles in a Job Mela held at Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agriculture University (PJTSAU) on Thursday.
Nearly 35 public and private companies have come forward to recruit students in the Job Mela. As many as 200 students from the food and nutrition, apparel and textiles, extension and communication management departments participated.
College Associate Dean Dr V Vijaya Lakshmi inaugurated the Job Mela. Vijaya Lakshmi said the students were recruited to work in a newly proposed Handloom Cluster coming up under the aegis of the Directorate of Handlooms.
Similarly, representatives from other corporate entities organised a seminar and briefed students on the skill sets required for recruitment. Later, Vijaya Lakshmi and Placement Cell incharge Dr Radha Rani released online placement brochure, entrepreneur catalogue and a recruitment brochure with details of skill sets of the students from different wings of the college.
