Telangana Police mobile app bags national award

The mobile application of the Telangana State Police, TSCOP has been declared as the Best IT Project for 2017 by the National Crime Records Bureau.

As a part of the All India Police Duty Meet, the NCRB has been conducting a computer awareness competition in order to encourage the development of in-house police IT applications.

Subsequently, the NCRB running trophy for Empowering Police with Information Technology was introduced for those who emerge victorious in the competition.

For the year 2017, seven States/Union Territories had competed for the trophy.

TSCOP facilitates access to a wide range of information for police personnel anywhere, anytime won the award.

The others include - ‘Report Based on Crime Patterns’ - Andhra Pradesh; CCTNS mobile app - Chandigarh; eGujCop - Gujarat; Dynamic Report generation in CCTNS - Maharashtra; mobile application for officers - Tamil Nadu and online complaint registration for cyber crime - Uttarakhand.

The NCRB trophy will be presented on February 28 during the closing ceremony of the All India Police Duty Meet in Chennai.
