93% candidates appear for TRT exam
Hyderabad: The Teachers Recruitment Test (TRT) for language pandit (Telugu) CBRT examination was held in 52 centres across the State on Saturday. In all, 92.8 per cent of candidates appeared for the test.
According to the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) Secretary A Vani Prasad, the examination was held in 34 centres in the HMDA area, Karimnagar (4), Warangal (7), Khammam (4), Nalgonda (2), and Medak (1). Out of 17,970 candidates registered for the examination, a total of 17,333 candidates downloaded hall tickets for appearing for the examination making it a total of 92.8 per cent. In some of the rural centres the attendance touched about 95 per cent during the morning session held from 10 am to 12 noon, she said.
In the afternoon session of CBRT examination was held from 2.30 pm to 5 pm for the post of School Assistants in Telugu. Out of 16,827 candidates registered, a total of 15,474 candidates downloaded the hall tickets and 85.43 per cent of candidates attended the examination, she added. Vani Prasad said the Commission had made all necessary arrangements for the Secondary Grade Teachers (SGT) examination scheduled on Sunday.
The OMR (pen and paper) based examination will be held in two sessions. The SGT Telugu medium examination would be held from 10 am to 12.20 pm and the SGT English medium will be held from 2.30 pm to 5 pm, she added. During the morning session, around 57,454 candidates are expected to appear for the examination in 85 centres in HMDA and in the afternoon session about 29,334 candidates are expected to appear for the examination in 38 centres in the HMDA limits of Hyderabad.
Four special squads have been constituted for monitoring the conduct of examination and all the examination centres will be monitored through the TSPSC Command Centre established at TSPSC office.
