All set for smooth conduct of Inter exams

Hyderabad: Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) Secretary A Ashok said on Saturday all necessary arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2018.

Addressing the media here, he said the IPE examinations will be held from February 28 to March 19. The examinations will be held from 8 am to 12 noon. A total of 9,63,546 students of first and second-year intermediate course are expected to appear examinations in 1,294 examination centres across the 31 districts in the State.

Giving details of elaborate arrangements made, Ashok said the TS RTC has been requested to ply buses to the examination centres and medical assistance will be provided to the students at the examination centres.

He said students can download hall tickets from the TSBIE websites: https:// admi.tsbie. cgg.gov.in and https://tsbie. cgg.gov.in from February 26. The Board has instructed the Chief Superintendents of the examination centres to allow candidates with the downloaded hall tickets without the principal's signature.

He said students can also download TSBIE Exam Centre Locator application from the Google Play Store, to figure out the examination centre allotted to them by entering their hall ticket number. The examination centre locator will also provide the photograph, directions and distance of the centre on the map. This will help a student to plan his transport to reach the examination centre early, he said.

Students facing problems amy contact the control room of the BIE at Hyderabad TSBIE, Hyderabad: 040-24601010/24732369. Fax No. 040-24655027. The District Intermediate Education Officer (DIEO) of all the 31 districts will announce district level helpline/ control numbers soon, he added.

He appealed to the students to focus more on their preparation and give their best in the examinations as the Board has taken all necessary steps to ensure that they do not face any kind of inconvenience.

The District Examination Committee (DEC) with DIEO or nodal officer as convener and a District Level High Power Committee (HPC) with District Collector as its Chairman, Superintendent of Police, Regional Joint Director of Intermediate Education and other will oversee the conduct of examinations, he said.
