Celestial wedding of Yadadri temple deities held on grand note
Yadadri: The Yadadri temple priests performed the celestial wedding of lord Narasimha Swamy with his consort Laxmi on a grand scale as part of annual brahmostavam celebrations at Balalayam on Saturday.
As a part of the celebrations, presiding deities were decorated with silk clothes, gold ornaments and flowers. Amid chants of hymns and vedas, following the agamashastra and rituals, temple priests performed the celestial wedding in a spiritual atmosphere.
Government whip Gongidi Sunitha along with Collector Anitha Ramachandran, YTDA Vice chairman Kishan Rao, EO Geetha offered silk clothes to the presiding deities at Balalayam. Large number of devotees witnessed the celestial wedding.
Meanwhile, in the evening, in view of devotees, temple authorities organised the celestial wedding in ZPHS ground at down the hill. On behalf of the government, Ministers Naini Narsimha Reddy, Indrakaran Reddy and Jagadish Reddy participated in the programme.
On behalf of the State government, Endowment Minister Indrakaran Reddy offered silk clothes and mutyala talambralu to Lord Narasimha Swamy and his consort Laxmi.
For the convenience of devotees, LED screens were set up around the venue ground. Thousands of devotees from Hyderabad, Warangal, Nalgonda and Yadadri district attended the celestial wedding.
Temple authorities made elaborate arrangements. As part of security, district police deputed 300 personnel including ACPS, CIs, SIs, women police, and mufti police in and around the ZPHS ground for smooth conduct of the programme.
In the program Temple chairman Narasimha Murthy, main priests Raghava Chary, Laxmi Narasimha Chary, Venkata Chary, Ranga Chary and others participated.
