KCR’s sop spurs depts into action
Hyderabad: One month basic salary incentive announced by Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to the Revenue employees for successfully completing purification of land records have given a wake-up call to the staff belonging to other important departments.
Many key departments, mainly Agriculture, Education, Medical and Health and Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Minority Welfare, are devising strategies to achieve desirable goals in the flagship programmes by following in the steps of the Revenue Department.
The Agriculture Department has already swung into action to make foolproof arrangements for the distribution of Pattadar Passbooks to the farmers and gear up the village-level administrative mechanism to implement the farmers investment support scheme. On the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, Agriculture Secretary K Parthasaradhi constituted official teams for every 5,000 farmers group in the villages. The teams are intended to tackle the farm related issues round-the-clock during agriculture season.
Parthasarathi said his department was making all-out efforts to make a grand success the Passbook distribution and investment support scheme. Required workforce was already deployed in the villages to conduct surveys and studies.
State Education Department in coordination with all welfare departments has decided to take up a big campaign to ensure that there is zero dropout in the government schools in the next academic year, beginning from June first week. This year, State government has given targets to the Education Department to fulfil the Millennium Goal of zero dropout in school education set by the United Nations.
State Medical and Health Department was asked to strengthen the medical infrastructure at all Primary Health Centres (PHCs) making availabil advanced treatment and diagnosis facilities to the poor in the villages. Sources said the government has plans to construct four super specialty hospitals on a war-footing from April this year. Land identification for the hospitals in Hyderabad was already completed.
Similarly, all the welfare departments are creating performance indicators for each employee at mandal level to state Secretariat for the speedy disposal of the benefits to the deserved mainly Kalyana Laxmiand pension schemes for single women, physically challenged etc.
