Naidu wants a comprehensive plan to strengthen TDP in Telangana
Hyderabad : TDP National President and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed the party leaders to prepare a comprehensive plan to strengthen Telugu Desam Party in Telangana State.
Naidu held a meeting with Politburo and Central Committee members at his residence in Hyderabad on Thursday to discuss the party's position in Telangana. Addressing the meeting, he said the programme to take party's to all villages across Telangana would be continued till March 29. He said all top leaders should meet the people directly and instill confidence among cadre. He also announced that he would participate in a public meeting to be held in Khammam soon.
The TDP chief agreed to the proposal of holding public meetings at three places as a prelude to party's Mahanadu. He also clarified that the decision on electoral alliances would be taken only at the time of elections and therefore, it should not be discussed earlier.
Naidu said he would always support the measures to strengthen the party in both the Telugu States of AP and TS. He also clarified that the exit of some leaders would not have any impact on the party. He said all Assembly-level committees should be constituted by the end of May.
The meeting was attended by Telangana TDP president L. Ramana, MLA S. Venkata Veeraiah, former MP Nama Nageshwara Rao, R. Chandrashekhar Reddy, E. Peddi Reddy and other leaders.
