T TDP leaders want NTR to lead the party

Chandrababu Naidu had a surprise waiting for him at the meeting of the party workers from Telangana. As he was addressing the party workers at the NTR bhavan, TDP workers raised slogans strongly opposing the proposal to merge the TDP in the TRS. 

Several workers threatened to end their lives if there is a move to merge the party. They said the party should be on its own and should not align with either the TRS or the BJP. Several workers showed placards demanding that the party be strengthened in the Telangana state. Several workers demanded that Junior NTR should be made the party chief in the Telangana region and should give it able leadership.

Chandrababu announced that there would be no merger and said alliances would be decided only in accordance with the feelings of the party workers.
