20 students booked for malpractices in inter exam

Hyderabad : More than 96% candidates of second year intermediate appeared for the second language exam held across Telangana State on Friday by the Board of Intermediate Education. 

Of 439,422 registered candidates, as many as 421,333 appeared for the Telugu, Sanskrit, Hindi, Urdu, Arabic, French, Kannada and Marathi - Paper II. A total of 18,089 or 4.11% abstained from it. 

A total of 20 cases of malpractice were booked which include 11 cases from Yadadri, three from Nalgonda, two from Vikarabad and one each from Rajanna Sircilla, Bhadradari Kothagudem, Mahabubnagar and Medchal. 

Observers from Board were sent to Vikarabad, Ranga Reddy, Suryapet, Nalgonda, Jangaon, Yadadri and Hyderabad Districts.   Except 20 malpractice cases, examinations have been conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents.
