KCR's conflict with BJP is fabricated: Uttam
Hyderabad : Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President Capt. N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao is fabricating a conflict with BJP only to damage the Congress party.
Addressing a massive public meeting at Nirmal on sixth day of Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra on Tuesday, Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the TRS MPs remained mute during the last four years and never fought with the BJP-led NDA Government in the Parliament on any issue pertaining to Telangana. The success of Congress party's Praja Chaitanya Yatra has forced KCR to make his MPs raise 12% Muslim quota and other issues in the Parliament. However, he said that KCR's conflict with BJP is completely fabricated. Stating that the talk of third front was only aimed at damaging the Congress party, he said that no front could stop Rahul Gandhi from becoming next Prime Minister. He said that the Congress party was all set to come to power both in Telangana and at the Centre.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said KCR has begun the talk on third front with a bunch of lies. He said neither Mamata Banerjee nor Hemanth Soren contacted KCR. Infact, it was TRS MP K. Keshava Rao who approached them seeking support. As the former member of AICC, Keshava Rao had some old link with AITC and JMM leaders which he tried to utilise. However, with the support of some media houses, hype has been created around something which was of no significant political value. He said instead of floating a third front, KCR should first save his home front as Congress is going to win on all seats.
The TPCC Chief said that the Congress party would expose each and every failures of TRS Government and KCR could not shield himself from accountability by playing new stunts of a forming a Federal Front. He said Pawan Kalyan and Asaduddin Owaisi too have lost their credibility. While Pawan Kalyan has campaigned for BJP alongside Prime Minister Narender Modi, Asaduddin Owaisi's party MIM has helped BJP in several states by polarising voters.
Uttam Kumar Reddy said that TRS has no moral ground to seek Muslims votes as it has failed to provide 12% quote to the community. He said KCR has openly cheated the Muslim community and is now trying to find excuses to seek another term. He said KCR Government could not even fill the vacancies that existed at the time of formation of Telangana State. Therefore, he said TRS has no right to approach jobless youth or their families for votes. Similarly, he said that the welfare of women remained neglected during KCR's regime.
Accusing Modi Government of pursuing anti-minorities agenda, he asked Muslims to vote in favour of Congress party if they want to unseat PM Modi in Delhi. "Can KCR or Owaisi defeat Modi Government? Only Rahul Gandhi and Congress has the organisational strength and resources to defeat BJP at the national level. Therefore, all Muslims and secular forces should support only Congress party," he said.
The TPCC chief also explained various plans that the Congress party had for the welfare of various sections of the society. He said that there was a Congress wave across Telangana State and the party would form the next government.
The meeting, organised by Congress senior leader Maheshwar Reddy, was also addressed by senior leaders including K. Jana Reddy, Shabbir Ali, Md Azharuddin, Revanth Reddy, Mallu Ravi, Sabitha Indira Reddy, Akula Lalitha and other leaders.
Earlier in the day, the TPCC Chief, along with other leaders visited the Pochampad Project and was astonished to find ‘pink colur paint’ on the project house building. "TRS Government do not have the shame and have the audacity to paint their party colour (pink) to hoodwink the officials of the Central Water Commission and gullible Telangana people in general. This project was conceived and constructed five decades back during Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru's regime as Prime Minister of India," he said.
