85 students booked for malpractices in inter exam

Hyderabad: As many as 85 first year intermediate students have been booked for malpractice during the exam held on Tuesday.
 
According to Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education, of 523,837 registered candidates, a total of 498,822 appeared for Physics, Economics & Classical Language - Paper I exam. However, as many as 25,015 candidates or 4.77% abstained from it.
 
Of 85 booked for malpractices, 29 cases are from Nalgonda, 11 from Sangareddy, 8 from Mahabubnagar, four each from Suryapet and Ranga Reddy, three each from Peddapalli, Jagityal, Warangal (Rural), Nizamabad, Siddipet and Nagarkurnool and one each from Nirmal, Kamareddy and Hyderabad.
 
Observers from Board have been sent to Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Ranga Reddy, Hyderabad, Suryapet, Medak, Sangareddy, Siddipet and Jangaon Districts. Except  above 85 malpractice cases, examinations have been conducted smoothly and peacefully without any untoward incidents.
