Hyderabad: Energy Minister G Jagdish Reddy on Thursday said the Assembly sessions after 2019 will become boring as there would be only two parties, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM), representing the people of the State in the Assembly.

In an informal talk with media in the Assembly lobbies, Jagdish Reddy said after 2019 elections there would be only two political parties in the Assembly those are TRS and MIM. “It will be boring for us to sit in a House without Opposition parties,” Jagdish Reddy said. The Energy Minister questioned the Congress leaders’ protest on suspensions.

“The Congress leaders said that they would go to the people but now they are talking of going to the court. They can go anywhere... the people who cannot win in pre-finals cannot expect to win in finals,” Jagdish Reddy stated.

The Minister further said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao’s intension was not to have front with few parties. The Chief Minister is striving to take people to a qualitative change in the country and he would succeed as he had succeeded during the Telangana statehood movement, he added. The parties who were in power for 70-years failed to provide drinking water, he rued. He said the Chief Minister would decide whether there is a need for a political party or any other alternative.
